Relaxation Ritual Deux

Hi everyone! I know I've been gone a bit longer than I initially said I would, but after a rescheduled exam and more coursework than I anticipated, holding off on posting any new content seemed like the best option. However, last week was my spring break and it was so refreshing. It was nice to have time to recuperate my mind after what has been quite the stressful semester thus far.

Mini Lush Easter Haul

Hi pals! Today's post is about one of my favourite things ever...Lush holiday products! I popped down to my local Lush on Monday to pick out some new goodies and was met at the door by a sign advertising that Easter products were back. I hadn't gone with anything particular in mind, but that sign made my decision for me.

Product Review: Avene Antirougeurs Fort Relief Concentrate

Hi everybody! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend thus far. Today I wanted to do a quick review of a product I've been using recently, Avene Antirougeurs Fort Relief Concentrate ($48/£23).

Say No To Lime Crime

Hi pals! Today's post is going to be a bit different than what you'd normal find here. I'm sure if you're a makeup lover and are involved in the community you've heard about the recent drama surrounding the company Lime Crime.

Relaxation Ritual

We all need to take a day to relax and treat ourselves now and then. Whether that is going to the cinema to see that film you've been wanting to see, catching up with your friends at your favourite wine bar, or hanging around the house in sweats all day - it's important to have these days. Personally, I subscribe to the latter option.

A Few of My Favourite Things - February 2015

Hiya! I can't believe we're in March already. It's warming up here in Louisiana and pretty soon we'll have full-fledged Springtime on our hands. I'm definitely more of a winter girl, but Spring has some of my favourite things to offer like Spring break (duh), Creme Eggs, and picnics.

This Week in Review: Instagram pt. 2

Hi pals! As many of you probably know, the last two weeks have been pretty big for the world of fashion. First we had New York Fashion Week AW15, followed up by London Fashion Week AW15. It's always been a dream of mine to attend both of these (particularly LFW), but alas, I have been stuck in rainy Louisiana with a myriad of uni assignments and exams to attend to as well as a pretty awful cold. However, while I wait patiently for those coveted invitations to future Fashion Weeks, I can enjoy the shows through the magic of Instagram!

So without further ado, here are some of my favourite posts from my IG feed over the last seven days!

Why I Love...My Flash Trash

Hiya! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. For today's post, I wanted to put the spotlight on one of my favourite businesses. Over the last couple of years I have become an avid fan of the online jewellry retailer My Flash Trash. This amazing company was founded by Made In Chelsea star Amber Atherton when she was 16 and designs sold by them have been hugely popular among female celebrities as well as being featured on the pages of some of the world's biggest magazines. I'm basically obsessed with every piece I've purchased from the website from brands such as FunkyOffish, Vera Meat, and Victoria Young.

How to Wake Up from a Hair Nightmare

I am obsessed with bleaching my hair. This is something I've come to terms with over the last eight or so years. So obsessed, in fact, that my hair went past the point of being blonde, white, or platinum and I has silver/lilac hair for over a year. In the years I subjected my hair to these chemical processes, however, I learned how to nurse it back to health. My hair is naturally curly and dry, but because I treated it with such care it was quite rare for me to have a lot of frizz or breakage. Well, up until about six months ago, that is.

This Week in Review: Instagram

I hope everyone is having a nice week so far! I am, as usual, up to my ears in coursework, but I'm still trying to make time for the simple pleasures in life. One of these things for me (and I'm sure many others) is Instagram. It's the first thing I check in the morning after my email and the last thing I look at before I go to bed. I use the app to keep up with my friends as well as draw inspiration from some of my favourite posters.

Today I've decided to share some of my most loved photos from the past week. Enjoy!

Product Review: Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner

Hi pals! Can you believe it's already February? I feel like I was just in London ringing in the new year. Time seems to fly when you're keeping busy!

Today I have a little review of Benefit Cosmetics' They're Real! Push-Up Liner. I was actually conflicted about whether or not to purchase this product in the first place as I don't wear eyeliner often. But since I'm always on the hunt for something new to change up my makeup routine, I figured why not? My attention was first brought to this eyeliner when it won Allure's Best of Beauty and Breakthrough awards of 2014. However, it has extremely mixed reviews and only a 3/5 rating on both Benefit and Sephora's websites.

Why I Love...Nail Art

One of my favourite fashion statements in the world is nail art. It's such a fun way to express yourself and can be quite inexpensive if you've got a steady hand and an arsenal of nail varnishes! I'm so committed to nail art that one of my friends recently said the only colour I ever wear on a regular basis is on my nails.

Designs can vary in style from elegant to funky, geometric to cartoons - the possibilities are endless. Below are some of my favourite designs to have ever graced my fingertips!

A Few of My Favourite Things - January 2015

Hiya! I hope everyone is having a lovely Wednesday. I don't have uni today so I'm using the day to relax a bit, get some coursework out of the way, and try to wrap my head around the foreign language that is calculus. I think the maths explains why I have recently felt the need to reward myself with an obscene amount of retail therapy.

The good thing about all the excess shopping I've been doing is I have gotten to discover new products - many of which are listed below. Keep reading to see what I have fallen in love with this month!

A Blogger's Guide to Blogging: Time Management

Today's post is all about how to manage your blogging time. If you're like me and are not a full-time blogger (aka it's not your profession), then you know how difficult it can sometimes be to balance everything else you have to do on top of making sure you have consistent, quality posts. I haven't had this blog for long, but the few months I have were enough time to learn that running a blog takes dedication and patience. If I decided to skip one of my Wednesday or Saturday posts, the small group of regular readers I have gathered thus far would most likely decrease. However, sometimes life gets in the way. This is where time management comes in!

Skincare Crisis

Happy hump day! So I know I've been talking quite a lot about my London trip, but this is something I wanted to touch on as it happened to me during said trip. While I have a long history with breakouts and sensitivity, my skin has been behaving quite well over the past few months and I've been extremely happy with it. However, that all changed while I was in London.

London Photo Diary: Part 2

Hiya! I hope you all had a great Friday and are planning to take the weekend to relax or do something fun! Personally, I'm going to use the next few days to get my sleep schedule back on track as I'm still suffering from a bit of jet lag. However, like I said in my last post, the jet lag is totally worth the amazing time I had in London.

If you enjoyed the first installment of my London photo diary, you're in luck. Below is a continuation of some of my favourite snaps!

London Photo Diary: Part 1

Hi everyone! Sorry this post is so late - I spent the day unpacking from London and packing for uni. I arrived back in the States from London late Monday and I'm still feeling the jet lag (which I've managed to beat in the past). But despite my exhaustion, it was so worth it as I had the time of my life. It was so refreshing to be back in my favourite city. I got to see my wonderful friends and do a few things that I neglected to do when I was there for uni.

Since I had such an amazing time, I wanted to share some of my favourite photos from my trip with you all! I packed light and didn't bring my camera with me so these were all taken with my iPhone, but hopefully you'll get a taste of my experience regardless of the quality of the photos. Enjoy!
